The fur you brush off every day is part of them. Keepsake Studio will turn it into something you can hold onto: a hand-felted miniature made to look like your pet, or a small piece knit from yarn spun from their own fur.
How it will work
- Collect. Brush or swipe with the Fuwa Mitt and keep the soft undercoat in your Omamorie fur pouch.
- Send. Mail the fur with a few photos to our partner artisan here in the US.
- Keep. Your artisan hand-makes your keepsake and checks the shape with you before finishing it.
What we'll offer
- Felt Twin: a small hand-felted miniature of your pet, with a little of their real fur worked in
- Fur Yarn Keepsakes: a small knit piece made with yarn spun from your pet's own fur
- From photos only: for pets who are no longer with us and left no fur behind
Each piece is handmade by an independent artisan, so it takes about 4 to 8 weeks.
